When performed correctly, teeth whitening does not harm the natural structure of your teeth
Before the bleaching gel is applied, Dr. Campbell will thoroughly clean your teeth to remove any plaque, tartar, or debris. This step ensures that the bleaching agent will make direct contact with the tooth surface for optimal results.
To protect your gums and lips from the bleaching agent, a dental dam or a protective gel will be applied. Dr. Campbell will carefully apply the barrier material, isolating the teeth to prevent the bleaching gel from coming into contact with sensitive tissues.
With a multitude of services under one roof, we can not only get you out of pain, but we can restore the tooth as wellÂ
Once the bleaching gel is applied, Dr. Campbell may use a special light or heat source to activate the gel. This step helps accelerate the whitening process and may involve using a curing light or laser. The light source is generally applied for a specific duration, depending on the product being used.
After activating the gel, you will need to wait for a certain amount of time to allow the bleaching agent to work. The waiting period can vary but it typically ranges from 15-30Â minutes During this time, you may be provided with protective eyewear and encouraged to relax.
For optimal results we recommend repeating the gel application and activation steps an additional time about two weeks later to achieve the desired level of whitening. This will be determined based on the initial shade of your teeth and your desired outcome.
Once the recommended treatment duration has passed, Dr. Campbell will evaluate the results to determine if further whitening sessions are required or if the desired outcome has been achieved. He will then remove the protective barriers, rinse your mouth, and compare the "before" and "after" shades to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.

A dental implant procedure shouldn’t be painful. Modern sedation dentistry makes sure that the procedure is entirely comfortable. In any case, we will use an anesthetic, and all you should feel is gentle vibration and pressure. Most patients report not needing to take any pain medication after the procedure and that the level of discomfort is not much different than other minor dental procedures. Once the dental implant has healed, it should feel like any other healthy tooth.
Yes. In fact, while whitening you are less likely to get decay and gum disease. However, as mentioned before, it can cause reversible tooth sensitivity for some patients.
