A veneer is a custom-made ceramic or porcelain facing that is bonded onto a tooth. It can make a tooth look whiter and cover our common imperfections. It can also change the shape or alignment of a tooth. It can be used to treat worn teeth or crooked teeth too.
This cosmetic dental procedure is very comfortable from start to finish. Many times your teeth require no preparation or minimal preparation. We will make sure that the process is entirely comfortable. You can also be sedated for the tooth preparation if desired.
Our dental Veeners procedure involves your participation in the process of improving your smile. Each of our dentists has dedicated many hours to this pursuit so you can trust that you will be happy with the final result.
To begin, you, our lab technician, and the dentist will have a consultation to determine your smile. We also estimate your exact wants and needs to improve your smile. We’ll take impressions or models and take some photographs of your teeth.
Your teeth are lightly prepared so that the veneers do not appear bulky and blend in naturally with your smile. Temporary veneers are placed that mimic the planned size, shape, and color of the new veneers.
We will evaluate your comfort, function, and satisfaction with the temporary veneers. This often skipped-step helps us make sure that your new smile is just what you want.
The temporary veneers are removed and replaced by the final veneers. Once approved these will be bonded into place. Now all you have to do is smile until your cheeks get tired. Generally, this process takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish.
We became dentists to participate in the process of improving your smile. Each of our dentists has dedicated many hours to this pursuit so you can trust that you will be happy with the final result.
We recognize your smile is your most important physical attribute. Your smile has power. We approach your smile with that attitude. We want you to be confident to smile broadly.

Dr. Behlke grew up in Mentor, Ohio. Before becoming a dentist, he worked as an accountant for seven years. Why the career change, you ask?
He liked what dentistry had to offer: fulfillment, challenges, growth, and building meaningful relationships every day. So he went back to school and received his DMD from Roseman University College of Dental Medicine and attended NYU Langone’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.
Since then, Dr. Behlke has found many more reasons to love being a Salt Lake City dentist. He understands that you may not love visiting the dentist, but he makes it his personal responsibility to help you feel as comfortable as possible. His kind, funny, and easy-going personality is a bonus too!
To stay current on dental trends and news, he maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry
Outside of the office, Dr. Behlke enjoys being outside as much as he can. He also likes to follow professional sports, especially anything related to Cleveland or Ohio State University.
The cost will vary according to the number of teeth requiring treatment and your individual needs. Our skilled dentist provides a fee and some payment plan options before starting any treatment.
